Throughout her clinical practice she met girls who arrived with reports of anxiety, emotional struggles, exhaustion, and behavior labeled “difficult”, but whose stories needed to be seen from a broader perspective.
The book was born out of the need to give language to what so many mothers and women perceived but could not yet explain.
